Ep. 2015.02: Rochelle Kulei-Nielsen

Our February 2015 guest was Shoshone Artist Rochelle Kulei-Nielsen.

Artist Rochelle Kulei-Nielsen (Shoshone) has served in the Native community for the past 15 years. Rochelle worked as the Native American Education Coordinator for ten years in the Vancouver, Evergreen, and Battleground School Districts, taught at PSU in the Native Studies program teaching Native American Contemporary Art, currently teaches at Portland Community College in the Art Department, and served numerous organizations in the Portland area. She has also managed large events from 50 to 2,500 people. Rochelle is coordinating the 10th Anniversary year of the Northwest Indian Storytellers Association (NISA) Festival and Workshops.
